Beach Haven Borough
WELCOME TO BEACH HAVEN
BEACH HAVEN extends from 12th Street, South of North Beach Haven to Nelson Avenue, North of Holegate.
In the heart of Long Beach Island sits the charming nautical community of Beach Haven also known as the “Queen City.” This oceanfront resort was established in 1873 to serve as the summer vacation location for wealthy Philadelphia residents. Today the historic downtown is still bursting with charm and character. This section of homes is known for the detail of their exterior, turrets that extend above the roofline, textured styled shingles, and wrap around porches.
Beach Haven has been voted best family resort recognizing it as a summer playground for all ages and a hot spot for extravagant vacations. Aside from the excitement of the clientele, this action packed nautical community offers dozens of island shops, museums, casual and fine dining, concerts in the park, an amusement park, oceanfront bars with bands, and gazebos on the water. Bicycles are a popular transport in this area, not only because of the dedicated bike lanes, but because you can get to all that the downtown has to offer in a matter of blocks.
